Adventurer EP

So some great news! I just got funding through FACTOR to help with the production of my next Children’s EP called Adventurer.  We are currently putting together and watching auditions for a children’s choir to perform on the album as well.  We are also currently working on arrangements for songs.  To read more about the people participating in this project read below.2016-01-02 14.23.58

Meet the Team:

Co-Producer | Engineer- Justin Koop has eighteen years of experience recording and producing bands and artists from many different genres of music. He has recorded industry demos for artists such as Finger Eleven and Billy Talent, which helped launch their successful careers.
He has produced songs for world famous You Tube Stars, Walk Off The Earth, albums like Silverstein’s debut record that sold over 300,000 copies in North America, and produced Grade’s “Under the Radar”, which was voted Top 20 Most Influential Punk Records of All Time in the alternative press. He has worked with New World Son and producer Tawgs to break the Top Ten Billboard Chart with the song “There Is A Way”. From Rock, Punk, Country, Pop, Metal to R&B, Justin can capture the right sound and energy to maximize the potential of many types music.
Robyn Pauhl has over 20 years of performance experience since she started performing professionally at the age of eleven. She has opened shows for U.S. country stars George Jones at Lulu’s in Kitchener, Loretta Lynn at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton and the International Center in Toronto. As well as for some eminent Canadian country acts such as Michelle Wright,
Prairie Oyster, Jason McCoy, Beverly Mahood, Jim Witter, jazz artist Carol Wellsman, and performed in concert with world renowned jazz bassist, Dave Holland.
Robyn’s lastest single was released, September 2013. The new material shows Robyn turn her passions back to country music. She produced and wrote her latest song, “All That I Want”, with her eight year old student, Alyssa West! The single was engineered and co-produced with Justin Koop (husband) at B Town Sound in Burlington, ON.
She is now the Studio & Event Manager at B Town Sound, working along side her husband Justin Koop. She has spearheaded the growth for the event side of the business and is now working with artists to help develop their careers with the launch of A.D.D. | The Artist Development Division. In 2014 Party Like A PopStar was developed with her partner Amber
Ruthart and is now in full swing with recording and dance parties for kids and teens.
She is the winner of The 2009 Hamilton Music Award for People’s Choice Independent Music
Teacher of the Year and works with artists at the Studio for vocal pre-production.
In 2005, Robyn graduated with honours from the Humber College Music Program in Toronto, ON. She attained knowledge in theory, composition and arranging for string sections, horns,and big bands. She has twelve years of teaching experience in vocal, theory, and piano.
Ian Green was born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Playing piano since he was five years old, Ian enjoys playing all styles of music including jazz, classical, pop, ragtime, blues, free improvisation. A
graduate of Queen’s University (BMus, 2006) and the Royal Conservatory of Music at Toronto (A.R.C.T., 2006), Ian maintains a thriving music studio teaching piano, music rudiments, history, and theory lessons
at all levels of the curriculum for the Royal Conservatory of Music.
In addition to teaching piano and theory lessons to students of all ages, Ian has been keeping busy wearing many hats in the music industry and community, including: working as the Music Director and
organist at Ryerson United Church in Ancaster, Ontario; working as an active member of the Royal Canadian College of Organists by promoting the importance of the organ as a solo instrument; working as
co-owner and co-founder of a technology start-up company specializing in creating technologically advanced tools to enhance music education and inspire music students; working as a busy piano
adjudicator, having adjudicated music festivals in Belleville, Brantford, Markham, Mississauga, Oshawa,Owen Sound, and Whitby.
In July, 2014, Ian was invited to participate in the training program to become a member of the College of Examiners with the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto.
From 2012-2014, Ian worked as the Recording Secretary for the Hamilton-Halton Branch of Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association (O.R.M.T.A.) Currently, Ian is working in the role as Treasurer.
In addition, Ian is a member of the Provincial Council of O.R.M.T.A; he is the Communication Portfolio Manager for the Province of Ontario, assisting with all of the needs of ORMTA membership related to
technological questions, social media activities , and website updates and development. With 15 years of professional experience, Ian enjoys accompanying students of all ages and experience levels for recitals, examinations, recording projects, and competitions.
As a professional musical entertainer, Ian is always adding new and exciting tunes to his vast repertoire of over 6,500 songs. He has performed music at many restaurants, banquet centers, and live music.
Multi Instrumentalist/Arranger-Al Serediuk
Al began playing guitar while listening to blues and R&B records. This was primarily Motown and Stax repertoire which was played in House parties and Fraternity socials at age fourteen.
Al began to learn other stringed instruments such as mandolin while playing with bands in the GTA.
After school he studied Jazz arranging and composition for seven years. Several years were with Ron Collier from Humber College and completed the Gordon Delamont course of study. He has produced several original recordings of his own along with Jim Witter, Mike Schoten and Carter Lancaster. Al currently teaches music and has recorded several acoustic guitar pieces as well as recording on Stephanie Coldwell-Andersons newly released EP Dreams.
Oksana Zelinska is a graduate of the Performance Diploma Program at The Glenn Gould School of TheRoyal Conservatory of Music (Toronto) studying with Donna Sherman and coaching with Brahm Goldhamer, and is the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships in both Classical Voice and Grand Opera at the Kiwanis Music Festival of Greater Toronto. In 2005, she obtained her Bachelor of Music through the Thompson Rivers University in BC. Oksana started her music education at the age of six when she began to play piano and the Ukrainian national instrument, the bandura, under her mother’s tutelage, an experienced bandura teacher in Ukraine. In 1993, she graduated from the Secondary State Boarding Music School in Lviv (Ukraine) and in 1998 was accepted to The Lviv State Academy of Music where she studied with Oksana Herasymenko, a renown teacher and a well-known composer of contemporary bandura music. As a vocal soloist, Oksana performed in Ravel’s “L’Enfant,” sang the role
of Marion from the twelfth century work “The Play of Robin and Marion” set to music by Milhaud, and Mendelssohn’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Starting in 2001, she began teaching bandura and voice
at “Zoloti Struny” Bandura Capella established in Toronto by her late mother Vira Zelinska, and as of 2012, took over the role of an artistic director and a conductor at the Vira Zelinska Ukrainian Youth

Carson Freeman
Keeping a low profile on the Toronto music Scene, saxophonist Carson Freeman has developed a unique,
sought after style that has launched him into the performance spotlight. Heralded as the 2010 Canadian Smooth Jazz Wind Instrumentalist of the Year, Freeman was also awarded opportunities that showcased
his musical art alongside Grammy Award Winners; David Sanborn, M.C. Hammer, (Guitarist/Producer) Paul Brown, Guitarist Larry Carlton and Jazz Singer/Pianist Diana Krall. As well, Carson has performed
with several other notable musicians, including drummer Max Weinberg, trumpeter Randy Brecker, fellow sax man Dave Koz, and Canadian singing icon Gino Vannelli. Freeman has appeared numerous
times on (Canadian) national television, has performed for Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and has entertained notable international celebrities including Sarah Jessica Parker and Catherine Zeta Jones.
Other passions include a love of cooking that lead Carson to appear on the Canadian Reality TV show “Come Dine With Me Canada”(CDWMC). Carson was featured in five episodes of the first season and
won first place for his hosting and cooking skills. After his CDWMC experience, Carson received opportunities to cook in front of live audiences to teach easy cooking methods that inspire healthy
delicious affordable meals. Carson has lent his musical talents to several recordings, and is in the process of recording his debut album. Carson resides in the Mississauga Ontario suburb; Port Credit with his
(Opera singer) wife Abigail, daughter Eden, cat Kali, and dog Brecker.
Loretta Hale (Born in Oshawa) is a Hamilton based musician. She has been playing for over 19 years, she has played in community pit bands, quartets, trio’s, duo’s and youth orchestra’s throughout Southern Ontario. Loretta graduated from Mohawk College for Cello and Trumpet in the 3 year Classical/Jazz program in Hamilton, Ontario. She played in many of the Mohawk ensembles including the Mohawk College Big Band as lead trumpet, a cello duo, and ensembles of the jazz, funk, and fusion persuasion. Loretta received a Specialist Certificate in the Music
Business from Berklee College of Music, where she studied Marketing, Publishing, The Future of the Music Business, and Inside the Record Industry. She performs with Canadian band Andre Bisson Rhythm & Blues Experience that tours in Canada, US, England, Wales, and Ireland. In 2005 she started and directs The Loretta Hale Big Band and is a cellist in a string duo/trio called Rosetta Strings. Loretta was nominated for Special Instrumentalist and Tour Manager of the Year at the Hamilton Music Awards for her work with a couple bands and a tour for Andre Bisson’s Band. She enjoys doing recording sessions, playing with other bands/ensembles in need of a string touch, as well as anything else that comes her way. For the Summer of 2015, Loretta will be on tour with the Andre Bisson R&B Experience in the UK and playing on a few albums with her trumpet and cello.
